Since December 2017, when I took office, I have made economic development one of my top priorities! Since that time we have successfully filled many of the vacant buildings and have also seen new buildings and businesses being constructed as well ... over 2 dozen in all! As your Mayor, I will continue to encourage people to invest in New Milford. Please make sure to support our businesses as they help stabilize taxes in Town. Thank you to John Lee for his investment in New Milford! After taking down the former Valley Dodge building, John is currently seeking approvals for a 5,000 square foot building which will house a pharmacy. I am looking forward to the ribbon cutting as well as seeing what John will do with the rest of the property! |

![]() 1 Gallow's Hill Road This 20,020 square foot building sat empty for years due to numerous permitting issues in various departments and was an eyesore at the entry to our Town. My office made this project an immediate priority in bringing the former owner, current owner and all of our land use departments together. We were able to successfully work through all of the permitting issues and I am proud to say this building is finally on track to open and be occupied. |

I am sure you have noticed it but Wendy's invested a significant amount of money in gutting both the inside and outside of a formerly vacant building. They also redid the parking lot and all of the landscaping in a cooperative effort with a local landscaping company! |

Thankfully our Health Review Panel was able to work cooperatively with the owner to resolve the water issue and construction has now restarted. They worked very carefully with the Zoning Commission to make no exterior alterations to the building and kept their signage minimal out of respect to our architecture. They have brought over 30 new jobs to our Town and the owner is local to the area. |
